Have you ever looked back on your life and asked "what if"? What if I had taken that job out off state? What if I stayed with the company that I started with as a young man or woman or the job out of high school?
I have asked myself those questions just as others have. The answer to some of those questions remain the same. "I wouldn't change a thing"---except my education. I would have done it earlier so I would have time, while in my youth, to sow the fruits of my labor. But since I can't go back in time, I will do what I can today and hope that the remaining time on this earth at least allows me to be comfortable and surrounded by those that I love and they love me.
You must be happy with who and what you are and use that experience and knowledge to propel you into a future that can be just as mysterious as the past was, when it was then your infant future.

- My blog is called the simple man. The reason for choosing that name is two fold. First i concider myself to be simple. My life is simple, but if I were to write a autobiography, it's not as simple as it may seem. I spent (4) years in the Marine Corps, graduated from junior college with my daughter, have jumped from a perfectly good airplane with a parachute, spent time in Okawawa Japan and the Philippines,worked across the US for (8) years and raised two children.
I love the title of your blog, Floyd - you do a great job of catching the attention with two simple words (okay, three if you count "the"!) I'm looking foward to learning from your life experience over the next seven weeks!

ReplyDeleteFloyd, I would have changed the clock to 120 seconds per minute. That way, we we all serve double time in ECP (Earth Correction Prison).
